Air Force Association Patron and Chief of Air Force Awarded Officer (AO) in Australia Day Honours

Air Marshal Robert Timothy Chipman, Chief of Air Force and Air Force Association Patron, has been awarded the title of Officer (AO) in the Military Division of the Order of Australia during the Australia Day Honours and Awards for 2024.

AIRMSHL Chipman’s leadership within the Royal Australian Air Force, notably in developing rapid-support plans and contributing to the identification of equipment for Ukraine, has earned him this distinguished honour.

The Australia Day honours list highlights his devotion to duty, strategic innovation and professional mastery.

The Air Force Association extends heartfelt congratulations to AIRMSHL Chipman for this well-deserved accolade. 

This recognition highlights AIRMSHL Chipman’s commitment to service during natural disasters and his significant contributions to the Australian Defence Force.
