AFA Geelong Branch President Recognised

BATTLE OF BRITAIN ‘LACE’

Group Captain John Price has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the Military Division (OAM) for his exceptional service as an Inquiry Officer and facilitator of administrative inquiries in the Royal Australian Air Force.

The award, announced in the 2025 Australia Day Honours, acknowledges his outstanding contribution to the Australian Defence Force since 2007.

GPCAPT Price, who retired last year and is now Air Force Association – Victoria’s Geelong Branch President, has played a pivotal role in managing sensitive and complex administrative inquiries, consistently demonstrating professionalism, emotional intelligence and strong leadership.

His efforts have significantly strengthened the military justice system and shaped the next generation of inquiry officers through expert training and mentorship.

GPCAPT Price is also an active member of the wider Air Force Association Victoria Branch, continuing his commitment to supporting the broader Air Force community.

The investiture ceremony took place on 2 April 2025 at Government House, Melbourne.
