Honouring the RAAF on Vietnam Veterans’ Day

Honouring the RAAF on Vietnam Veterans' Day

On 18th August, we commemorate Vietnam Veterans’ Day and the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in 1966.

We remember the sacrifices of those who died and say thank you to almost 60,000 Australians who served during the 10 years of our involvement in the Vietnam War.

On this day, we pause and honour the more than 4000 members of the RAAF who served in Vietnam between the years 1964 and 1971. And we also pause to reflect on the impact of service on our veterans’ families.

We hope you enjoy this video (below) honouring and remembering those who served with the RAAF during the Vietnam War.
