ADSO’s Revitalisation and Air Force Association’s Supporting Role

The Alliance of Defence Service Organisations (ADSO) has undergone notable updates to its website and initiatives, aimed at bolstering its presence and advocacy for the protection of Defence Families’ entitlements.

Peter McDermott, Vice President of the Air Force Association, serves as the association’s representative on the ADSO, ensuring the AFA’s commitment to the welfare of Defence Families.

Established in 2010, ADSO emerged as a unified national voice for the Defence Family, championing their interests to governments and the Australian people.

At the heart of ADSO’s mission lies its dedication to caring for Defence Family wellbeing and safeguarding their service entitlements. Through collaborative efforts with member organisations such as the Air Force Association, ADSO amplifies the voices of Defence Families across the nation.

Today, ADSO boasts a diverse membership base, including prominent organisations like the Defence Force Welfare Association (DFWA), Naval Association of Australia (NAA) and the Air Force Association among others. Each member organisation plays a vital role in contributing to ADSO’s overarching mission, ensuring that Defence Family concerns receive attention and action at the highest levels.
