Air Force Association Raises $2,500 for Veterans at VP Day Concert

BATTLE OF BRITAIN ‘LACE’

The Air Force Association (AFA) ACT Division celebrated a successful fundraising effort at the Royal Australian Air Force Band’s 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Pacific (VP) Day concerts held on 14 August 2025 at the Canberra Theatre Centre.

The two commemorative concerts, honouring the service and sacrifice of those who contributed to the victory in the Second World War, drew large audiences and raised almost $2,500 through gold coin donations, with some attendees generously contributing $50 notes.

The funds will support the AFA’s initiatives to assist veterans and their families. The event’s success was bolstered by the support of Air Force Association volunteers and the warm community response, reflecting the enduring spirit of commemoration and generosity.

Special thanks to the Air Force Events team and the Air Force Band for arranging such a wonderful event.
