Brigadier Jim Campbell AM (Retd) Appointed to the National Board of the Air Force Association

The Air Force Association (AFA) is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Brigadier James “Jim” Campbell, AM (Retd) to its National Board.

Jim, a life member of the AFA, has and will continue to assist in advancing the organisation’s mission which is supporting the wellbeing of veterans and their families, fostering camaraderie and commemorating our history.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have someone of Brigadier Campbell’s calibre join our National Board,” AFA National President Carl Schiller said.

“His commitment to the AFA has already been exemplary, and we look forward to his leadership as we continue to serve our community. Jim’s blend of experience, dedication, and foresight makes him a natural fit for this role.”

Jim’s service as a Brigadier in the Australian Regular Army and time spent in the service of other charities sets a solid foundation for his role on the board. However, his impact on the AFA extends far beyond his previous endeavours. In 2018 and subsequently, Jim has generously volunteered his professional consulting skills to help AFA in a number of different areas.

Despite facing various challenges early on, Jim has remained steadfast, dedicating countless hours to chair the Joint Boards’ Steering Group and facilitate several workshops over the period.

His contributions have been vital to the Association’s ongoing success.
