Engagement with Shadow Minister for Veterans Affairs

BATTLE OF BRITAIN ‘LACE’

The AFA Mitcham Branch in South Australia was recently visited by the Hon Barnaby Joyce, Shadow Minister for Veterans Affairs (National), Hon Nicola Centofanti MLC, Shadow Minister for Veterans Affairs (SA), and Ms Nicole Flint (Liberal Candidate for Boothby).

They met with AFA Mitcham members including WW2 veteran Bruce Townsend and members of the AFA State Council after the Monthly Friday AFA- Mitcham meeting.

It provided an opportunity for AFA members to discuss various veterans issues such as the findings and way ahead of the recent Royal Commission into Defence and Veterans Suicide and harmonisation of federal legislation concerning veterans at the Federal level and specific state and council issues relevant to AFA-SA.
