National commemorative service to mark 25 years since Timor-Leste

BATTLE OF BRITAIN ‘LACE’

On Friday 20 September 2024, we commemorate the 25th anniversary of Australian service in Timor-Leste.

Australian service in Timor-Leste spanned between 1999 and 2013 and included personnel from the Australian Defence Force and the Australian Federal Police, as well as civilians.

A national commemorative service will be held at the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial on Anzac Parade in Canberra.

This anniversary service will be an opportunity to honour and remember the six Australians who lost their lives and all those who served, and their families.

DVA strongly encourages all those planning to be at the service to register their intention to attend. Although a ticket will not be required to enter the service, by registering you are helping to ensure that adequate arrangements can be put in place.

Please register to attend on the DVA website.
