Scootaville 2024: Support our Veterans!

BATTLE OF BRITAIN ‘LACE’

A group of 40 individuals have set off from Chermside in Brisbane on a 2,500-kilometre journey to Army Lavarack Barracks in Townsville.

Riding 110cc scooters, these riders will participate in the event known as ‘Scootaville.’ This 20-day adventure will include stops along the way for community events and fundraising activities. Learn more about the event and route here.

Organised by the RAAF Radschool Association based in Brisbane, Scootaville aims to raise funds for Legacy Brisbane and the Air Force Association. Legacy Brisbane provides essential support to the families of veterans who have lost their lives or suffered health issues due to their service. The Air Force Association focuses on assisting homeless veterans. All proceeds from the event will be split equally between these two vital organisations.

The RAAF Radschool Association, established in 1999 for graduates of the RAAF Radio School, has since expanded its membership to include veterans from all three branches of the Australian Defence Force. The Association plays a key role in organising reunions, reuniting old comrades, and assisting members with matters related to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).
