BATTLE OF BRITAIN ‘LACE’
The North Coast Veteran and Family Hub in Tweed Heads will hold a free Community Open Day this Saturday, 26 September, giving locals a chance to see the services and support on offer to veterans and their families across the region.
The event runs from 10am to 2pm at the Hub, Level 3, 145 Wharf Street, Tweed Heads. Everyone is welcome, and you don’t need to be a veteran to attend.
Visitors can take a guided tour of the Hub and its facilities, meet the team, and learn about the programs it runs to support wellbeing, connection and community.
Information stalls from veteran organisations, community groups and support services will be set up throughout the day. There will also be presentations and live demonstrations of local programs and services.
A free barbecue lunch will be served, and there will be activities for children.
The Open Day is aimed at veterans, their families, service providers and anyone who wants to learn more about veterans’ services in the region, or find ways to get involved in their local community.
