AF2021 Commemoration Event – RSVP Date Extended

Air Force 2021 Commemoration Event

RSVP date for EOIs remains open until end of October 2020

Air Force Association, on behalf of AF2021, is seeking expressions of interest from former Air Force serving members who wish to attend the Flag Raising Ceremony and Queen’s Colour Parade in Canberra on 31 March 2021.

The Air Force Centenary year is an occasion to reflect on the achievements of the past 100 years, to remember those who have contributed and to contemplate the future direction of Air Force. A series of one-off national and regional events are being organised by the Air Force 2021 team to celebrate this important centenary.

The Flag Raising Ceremony will take place at Blamey Square, Russell between 7.15 and 7.45 am, followed by an Air Force hosted breakfast in the Russell Precinct from 8.00 – 9.00 am. The Queen’s Colour Parade will be held at Rond Terrace from 10.30 am and will conclude at midday.

AF2021 will issue formal invitations to successful applicants in late January 2021. Veterans’ inclusion is subject to the status of COVID-19. This will be determined by the AF2021 event organisers towards the end of 2020.

Expressions of interest to attend this event will be accepted until 31 October 2020. Attendance numbers are strictly limited.
