TTD Wins Air Force Association Trophy

Tactics and Training Directorate Wins AFA Trophy

The Tactics and Training Directorate (TTD) Air Warfare Centre at RAAF Base Williamtown has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to the Air Force and awarded the Air Force Association Trophy at the recent Air Force Proficiency and Leadership Awards ceremony.

The TTD is responsible for developing tactics and training across the Air Force and transforming the way aviators think about and teach air warfare and the award is a testament to their exceptional performance over the previous year.

Air Force Association National Vice President Dr Peter McDermott was on hand to present the trophy to the deserving members of the TTD at the Air Force Proficiency and Leadership Awards ceremony, which acknowledges and recognises the outstanding achievements and contributions of Air Force personnel and units.

“The TTD’s commitment to excellence in tactics and training is vital to the Air Force’s success, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed,” he said.

“This award highlights the importance of their work and serves as a reminder of the dedication and hard work that is required to maintain the highest standards in the Air Force.”

The citation stated – The Tactics and Training Directorate delivered exceptional capability and force generation outcomes for Air Force in 2022, through its positive culture and drive for continuous improvement, it has led a series of complex analysis, engagement, and tactics development activities that significantly enhanced Air Force, Joint and Coalition interoperability.

Congratulations to the Tactics and Training Directorate on their well-deserved win of the Air Force Association Trophy.
